Day 1: Discovering Santiago de Chile

Upon arrival at Santiago de Chile airport, you will meet our representative who will take you to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will explore this fascinating city rich in history and culture. Discover its beauty during a half-day walking tour with a specialized guide who speaks your language. The tour starts at Plaza de Armas, the heart of the city, where you can admire the splendid Metropolitan Cathedral, the Palacio de La Moneda—home to the government—and the Centro Cultural de La Moneda, a modern space dedicated to art and culture. Next, the tour continues to the Barrio Lastarria, one of Santiago's most vibrant neighborhoods. You will stroll among historic buildings, cafés, restaurants, bookstores, and art galleries. Among them is the Museo de Bellas Artes, the oldest museum in South America, housing a collection of Chilean and international artworks from the 16th to the 20th century.

Day 2: The Port of Valparaíso and the Wines of the Casablanca Valley

 

Today is the opportunity to visit Valparaíso, one of the most fascinating and colorful cities in Chile. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Valparaíso will amaze you with its hills, historic elevators, multicolored houses, and murals that tell its history and soul. You will admire the port, Sotomayor Square, and the Pablo Neruda Museum, dedicated to the famous poet who found inspiration for his works here.

But Valparaíso isn’t just urban art—it’s also the art of winemaking. During your tour, you will have the chance to visit the Casas del Bosque Winery, located in the splendid Casablanca Valley, renowned for its high-quality white and red wines. During the guided tour, you can admire its quartz-sand soil, explore its diverse plantations, and taste its finest wines.

Day 3: From Santiago to the Atacama Desert 

Private transfer to Santiago airport and flight to Calama, in the heart of the Atacama Desert. Upon arrival at Calama airport, you’ll be transferred by shuttle to San Pedro de Atacama (a 90-minute drive). During the journey, you’ll traverse the driest part of the desert to reach the oasis of San Pedro de Atacama. In the afternoon, you’ll head to the Valley of the Moon to explore the Cordillera de la Sal (Salt Mountain Range) and admire an unforgettable sunset while enjoying an aperitif.

Day 4: Rainbow Valley and Salt Lagoons

In the morning, enjoy a half-day excursion to explore the beauty of the driest desert in the world. The first stop is a visit to the petroglyphs of Hierbas Buenas, followed by the Rainbow Valley, where you can admire the multicolored striped mountains. In the afternoon, embark on a unique and unforgettable experience at the salt lagoons of San Pedro de Atacama. These natural wonders offer breathtaking landscapes, the opportunity to bathe in crystal-clear waters, and effortlessly float thanks to their high salinity.

The tour begins at your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama, with a minibus transfer to the lagoons. The first stop is Laguna Cejar and Laguna Piedra, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim and feel the sensation of floating as if suspended in the air. Day 6: Atacama Salt Flat with Chaxa Lagoon, Toconao Village, High Plateau Lagoons and Volcanoes: Miscanti, Miñiques, and Piedras Rojas

Spend a full day visiting some of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring locations in the region: the Miscanti and Miñiques Lagoons and Piedras Rojas. This excursion takes you to explore two stunning volcanic-origin lagoons, surrounded by imposing mountains and inhabited by various bird species. You’ll admire the vibrant colors of the water and sky, reflecting off each other to create a magical effect. You can also take a stroll along the shores of the lagoons, breathing in the fresh air and savoring the tranquility of nature.

After visiting the lagoons, you’ll continue to Piedras Rojas, an incredible natural setting featuring red rocks that contrast strikingly with the white of the salt flats and the blue of the lake. Here, you can take spectacular photos and feel as if you’ve stepped onto another planet.

On the way back to San Pedro you will discover the Chaxa Lagoon, located in the heart of the Atacama salt flat and the Toconao native village with its stone-built small church and its art crafts stores.

Day 7: Tatio Geysers and Rio Putana

This excursion will take you to discover two of the most spectacular and fascinating attractions in the region. You’ll depart from San Pedro de Atacama before dawn and head to the Tatio geothermal field, located at an altitude of 4,300 meters. Here, you’ll witness the spectacle of geysers erupting steam and boiling water, creating an incredible contrast with the cold and darkness of the early morning. After a hearty breakfast on-site and already on the return journey, you’ll stop at Rio Putana, a stream flowing from volcanic mountains that feeds a high-altitude wetland rich in flora and fauna. Here, you can take a walk, admiring vicuñas and a wide variety of birds.

The tour includes transportation to and from your accommodation, an expert guide, and breakfast on-site. You’ll return to your hotel around noon. For the afternoon, we can suggest visiting the village on your own: exploring the market, the church, the meteorite museum, among other possibilities.

Day 8: Transfer to Patagonia

The day begins early with a private transfer picking you up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama and taking you to Calama Airport, about an hour and a half away. From there, you'll take your flight to Santiago, the capital of Chile, where you'll need to change planes to reach Punta Arenas, the southernmost city in the country. The total flight time is approximately 6.5–7.5 hours, depending on the connections.

Upon arrival at Punta Arenas Airport, another private transfer will be waiting to take you to your hotel in the city, located about 25 minutes away. Punta Arenas is a city rich in history and culture, as well as a starting point for exploring the wonders of Chilean and Argentinian Patagonia. You can take advantage of the rest of the day to explore the waterfront along the Strait of Magellan on your own.

Day 9: Penguins at Marta & Magdalena Islands and Journey to Puerto Natales

Today, you will leave your hotel and embark on a voyage across the Strait of Magellan to discover the Marta and Magdalena islands, two natural paradises inhabited by penguins, sea lions, cormorants, and other endemic species. You will have the opportunity to get close to these charming inhabitants and observe them in their natural habitat while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the Strait of Magellan. The tour lasts approximately 4.5 hours and includes a stop on Magdalena Island, where you can walk among thousands of Magellanic penguins and visit the historic lighthouse.

After this unforgettable experience, you will return to Punta Arenas and, with our assistance, take a bus to Puerto Natales, the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park. The transfer takes about 3 hours and will allow you to admire the landscapes of Chilean Patagonia, including mountains, lakes, forests, and steppes. Once in Puerto Natales, a driver will welcome you at the terminal and take you to your hotel. You will still have time to walk along the shores of Almirante Montt Gulf and admire the graceful, black-necked swans that inhabit this coastline.

Day 10: Excursion to the Mylodon Cave and Torres del Paine Park

Today, you will take a trip to the Mylodon Cave and Torres del Paine National Park, the most fascinating and spectacular attractions in the region. You will depart from Puerto Natales and soon arrive at the Mylodon Cave, a natural cavity where the remains of an ancient prehistoric animal, the giant ground sloth, were discovered. You will have the chance to admire a life-size reproduction of this herbivore, over 4 meters tall, and learn about its history and environment through the information and display panels at the park's interpretation center and inside the cave.

Next, you will continue your journey to Torres del Paine Park, one of Chile's most beautiful and important national parks, designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The park is named after its three main peaks, the Torres del Paine, granite monoliths shaped by ice and wind erosion. You will be able to view the Paine massif from various scenic points and learn about its geological history through explanations from your expert guide. The park also features other natural wonders, such as the Cuernos del Paine, Salto Grande waterfalls, Grey Lake with its icebergs, and Pehoé Lake with its turquoise color.

Day 11: Navigation to the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers and Bernardo O’Higgins Park

This is a full-day trip, featuring navigation to the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers and Bernardo O’Higgins Park. You will depart from Puerto Natales and board a comfortable boat that will take you through the Última Esperanza Fjord. Along the way, you can admire the area's typical flora and fauna, such as cormorants, sea lions, and dolphins.

The first stop of the trip is the Balmaceda Glacier, located in the heart of Bernardo O’Higgins Park. You will be able to observe the majestic ice wall, which rises and reflects in the blue waters of the fjord. The Balmaceda Glacier is part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, one of the largest freshwater reserves on the planet.

The second stop is the Serrano Glacier. Here, you can disembark and take a short hike to the base of the glacier, where you can touch the ancient ice and marvel at the colors and shapes created by nature. The Serrano Glacier is famous for the phenomenon of calving icebergs, which break off from the glacier with a dramatic roar.

After visiting the glacier, you will return to the boat and navigate toward a local estancia (ranch), where you can enjoy a delicious traditional lunch featuring Patagonian lamb and other regional specialties. You can take this opportunity to learn about the life and culture of the gauchos, the cowboys of the South American pampas.

Day 12: Flight from Puerto Natales to Santiago de Chile

The day begins with a private transfer from your accommodation in Puerto Natales to Teniente Julio Gallardo Airport, located about 6 km away. From there, you will take your flight to Santiago, Chile (approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes), and enjoy the views of the mountains, lakes, and glaciers of Chilean Patagonia.

Upon arriving at Santiago Airport, a private transfer will be waiting to take you to your hotel near the airport.

Note: It is not always possible to fly from Puerto Natales. If this is the case, you would take the flight from Punta Arenas instead.

Day 13: Flight to Easter Island

The day begins with breakfast at your hotel near Santiago Airport. After checking out, you take the complimentary private transfer to the domestic flight terminal, where you check in and go through security. Your flight to Easter Island departs at 9:00 a.m. and lasts approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes. You arrive at Mataveri Airport on Easter Island, or Rapa Nui as it is known in the native language, at 12:30 p.m. local time (the island is two hours behind mainland Chile). Upon arrival, our representative will be waiting to give you a detailed program of your activities and excursions, along with updated departure times for each day. Afterward, a shared transfer takes you to your hotel, located about 10 minutes away.

In the afternoon, you can visit the village and the Tahai archaeological site, on your own.

In the evening, you will experience the magic of Polynesian dances, the ancient traditions of the Rapa Nui people, and the beauty of Easter Island in a unique and captivating folkloric performance. Entrance fee to Polynesian dances show included.

 Day 14: Full day tour to Vaihu, Rano Raraku, and Anakena

 The first visit takes you to an unrestored Ahu called Vaihu, a witness to a period of destruction several centuries ago. You will see a reconstruction of what a village looked like in ancient times, with its houses, manavai (stone garden enclosures), plantations, and more.

Next, you will head to the Ahu Akahanga area, where legend has it that the tomb of the famous king Hotu Matua is located next to the Ahu. Following this, you will arrive at one of the most important sites in Rapa Nui culture, the Rano Raraku quarry, where approximately 900 statues were carved, of which 397 remain lying or standing in various stages of construction and transport.

At this point, there will be a break for lunch at a small café at the foot of the quarry.

You will continue to Ahu Tongariki, which features its 15 standing statues. The penultimate site to visit is the "Navel of the World," along with Ahu Te Pito Kura. Finally, you will reach the beach of Anakena, where you will have the chance to enjoy the warm Pacific waters and relax on the pink sand beach under the palm trees. At the end of the excursion, you will return to your hotel.

This tour lasts approximately 7 hours and is conducted as a group tour with an English-speaking guide. It is recommended to end the day with a traditional dinner featuring fresh fish and local products at one of the island's many restaurants.

 Day 15: Full day tour to Akivi & Orongo Rano Kau

 Today, you will embark on two half-day excursions.

In the morning, you will start with a visit to the ceremonial site of Tahai, featuring three platforms (Ahu) with restored statues. Additionally, you will see the remains of a boathouse, a stone chicken coop, and a pier entirely built from stone. You will then proceed to visit Ahu Huri A Urenga and Ahu Akivi, a platform with seven restored Moai. Next, you will visit the Puna Pau quarry, where the Pukao or "headdresses" of the Moai were carved.

In the afternoon, you will ascend to the crater of the extinct volcano Rano Kau, where you will be presented with a panoramic view of the entire island, its coasts, volcanoes, and the village of Hanga Roa. The second viewpoint you will visit allows you to appreciate the Rano Kau crater with its lagoon, followed by a visit to the ceremonial village of Orongo, where the Birdman Ceremony and competition (Tangata Manu) took place. Afterward, you will discover Ahu Vinapu, whose architecture resembles pre-Inca constructions. At the end of this excursion, you will explore Hanga Piko Bay, where you can see the Ahu Riata, restored in 2000, next to the fishing port.

Day 16: Return from Easter Island to Santiago de Chile

At dawn: Sunrise excursion to Ahu Tongariki, the most spectacular archaeological site on Easter Island. Here, you can witness the sunrise in front of the 15 Moai, the colossal stone statues that represent the ancestors of the indigenous people. The sun rises directly behind the Moai, creating a play of light and shadow. You can take incredible photos and feel part of the history and magic of this unique place. This is a private tour with an English-speaking guide.

Return to your hotel for breakfast.

After bidding farewell to Easter Island, a land of mystery and charm, you prepare to return to Santiago, Chile. Your group transfer will take you to Easter Island Airport. You will board a LATAM Airlines flight that will take you to Santiago in approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes. During the flight, you can once again admire the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the Andes upon arrival.

Once at Santiago's international airport, our representative will be waiting to take you to your hotel, located just a few minutes away. After settling into your room, you can relax after the long journey. If you wish, you can take advantage of the hotel's amenities, such as the restaurant, bar, or fitness center.

Day 17: Departure for your country

After spending a restful night at the hotel near Santiago Airport, you prepare to board the flight that will take you back to your country. After checking out of the hotel, you take the private transfer that will bring you to the airport. Upon arriving at Santiago's international airport, you will independently check your luggage and obtain your boarding passes for your intercontinental flight.
